The murici plant is known as “nance”, this plant is known for its sweet yellow scented fruit very rich in vitamin C. The pungent flavour and smell is not comparable to any other fruit. The shrub grows 33ft tall and is used to treat diarrhoea, rashes, wounds and pulmonary diseases. In Central America, a cup of a leaf tea taken three times per day is believed to help alleviate rheumatism, aching bones, anaemia and common fatigue.
