Eucalyptus is a genus of over seven hundred different plants, they are also called “gums”. They have a distinct aromatic minty and fresh flavour which is coveted for all types of aromatherapy, oils, musical instruments, and food products. The trees are native to Australia, and then spread all over the world where they were accepted and thrived in countless native cultures. One problem – they are highly flammable! They are even used for prospecting gold products: the roots of the eucalyptus tree will draw up gold particles from tens of metres underground and deposit it in its leaves. One can use metallic imaging technology to sample the leaves, and then dig below to find some nice gold nuggets under the earth.
